When Kansas State slipped ahead of UL with eight minutes left Saturday night, the Ragin' Cajuns could have easily given up at home.
UL faced such frustrations in the past against BCS conference opponents. Last year the program went to Big Ten school Illinois and Big 12 member Kansas State, only to lose by a combined 11 points in two bitter losses. In fact, the Cajuns only had one win over a team from a BCS conference in program history — an upset of No. 25 Texas A&M in 1996.
