What is that agenda? I don't take anything away from Stokley, but I'm not going to buy into YOUR agenda to discredit a coach that has come in here and ripped off 3 of the winningest seasons in our program's history.

I don't have to discredit Hudspeth. His results speak for themselves. But I take exception to ppl that can't take the cheerleader glasses off, keep saying the Hud is the best we ever had, and can't take an objective view of the program. That's the point I'm trying to prove.

The one positive thing I have said "positive" about Hud since the Florida debacle is ......

"Football: Hudspeth" see first post of this thread.

We did everything that we could with what we had.....Coach Hud is doing the same.....I have not weighed in on who I think is a better head Coach. All that I stated was I would love to have had the Facilities and resources to recruit to that this Staff has and will have. Coach Hud is building a winning tradition here and I support him 100%. His success has a huge part in the Building of these New Facilities. My "job" as I see it as an Alumni, former Staff member, RCAF member and fan Is to support this program 100%. Coach knows that he has my full support. Comparing Coaches and eras is interesting but I will not get directly involved. I will say the Coach Hud has made former players and us former Coaches and Staff members feel welcome and a part of all of this. Will mistakes be made, sure, back in the day we sure made our share. We are about to have our 4th winning season in a row. On the Division 1a/FBS level (since 1972) we have had that happen only once...1986 thru 89. If Coach Stokley were still alive I can assure everyone that he would be extremely excited to see the direction that the program is headed and he would be all in with Hud. I guarantee you that I am and will continue to be.

One more thing to add to Stokley's resume.

Before the NCAA invented "vacated" Texas Tech "OFFICIALLY" forfeited both of it's games against Louisiana during Stokley's tenure ... and the NCAA accepted.

Forfeits go in the win column.

I never could get the former SID to change this fact in the media guide. Although before he went to the Ice Gators he had no problem scratching a win from the 1970's

ps I did not try with the current SID or Brian M. because I no longer qualified for a sideline pass so we never crossed paths.

I'm not declaring who is better.

I am trying to get people to see things clearly and in context.

Hud is great, but we should not forget the old saying, "To whom much is given, much is expected."

According to the USA today database, only 9 coaches in the FBS had a lesser monetary contract in 2011. Mark hudspeth took a 3-9 team, a $350k salary, and a fanbase that had all but given up on football. Since then he's been part of the $115mil master plan initiative, won 9 games 3 years in a row, going to his fourth straight bowl game and re-energized a fanbase. All of which he EARNED and was not given.
