It was Senior Day, UL's final home game this season. A six-game win streak was on the line. The possibility of a school-record 10 wins still was in the cards for the Ragin' Cajuns.

None of that could prevent Sun Belt Conference-newcomer Appalachian State, however, from spoiling things in front an announced crowd of 20,638 at Cajun Field.
