    Default Rain/Veer??

    Hey Guys,

I looked at your weather report and it said 70% of rain tonight. If it rains do you think you will still throw the ball all over like you did last weekend? Also, last Saturday did you all see any of that veer/option you ran in the past? Might we see any of that tonight if it the rain is negatively affecting the passing game. Just curious.

Look Bill, quit pretending to be a curious fan. We don't want to give away our game plan just yet.

LOL....just trying to get a grip on your team. I just know that we barely won at home last year and our offense was better then than it is now. I am nervous about this game to say the least.

No seriously, you will see alot of the same running attack you saw last year. We just don't have the stud Quarterback and running back to do it all on the ground anymore. I think our quarterback is going to be good, but we'll have to see how he performs tonite against some stronger competition. Offense is more balanced and they will try to spread the field against KSU. I think if we win, it won't be from a powerful running game but by creating some mismatches with the spread. I think you guys are worlds better than Southern, but last week there was a wide open reciever on almost every passing play. We'll see what happens. If we do win, it will be by playing the best football game we are capable of with little or no errors. I expect you guys to slide out of here with a W.

    Good luck to you guys

You have one thing in your favor - an experineced offensive line against a banged up inexperienced Dline.
However, last year our defensive coaches had no one assigned to a man vs your option running attack (which was quite impressive) which is defense 101. This year we have much better coaches on the defense and I expect our guys will at the very least know where to be/who exactly they are assigned to against that particular offense. The problem will be how well they take on/get rid of your Oline/FB blocking. That is a pretty good unit from all I have read about them. I guess we shall see.

It has been nice chatting with you and best of luck on the year (after tonight of course)
