Thank you, Douglas. There are certain lines and I think some have been crossed lately.

Broadway gets a lot of criticism on this board, but next year I believe that some will see just how valuable he has been to this team. Broadway seems to be either hot or cold at times, which is often difficult to explain ... his inconsistency.

I have felt that HUD is a good motivator and carnival barker to aid the program, but have not bought into his being a great head coach at this level, but certainly a good coach. I don't believe he is close to being Big 5 material yet.

I am expecting a win next week and a bowl victory for another 9-4 year, which is good, but below the expectations that HUD set at the beginning of the year.

I've passed this info on before, but some folks are too ignorant to understand.

TB broke his arm, just above the wrist. They had to put a plate in it and since that injury, he has lost grip strength. A strong grip is critical for an athlete throwing an object. Footballs (big and heavy) are one of the most difficult to throw accurately and with velocity. With a strong grip, you can throw the ball with a high release point....you still have to spin it to get that spiral, which increases accuracy and velocity. A high release requires extending your arm to its full length and having the strength to pull it down to spin it.

TB worked on this release point after transferring from Houston. His natural throwing motion from HS was a lower release, which a lot of dual threat QB's have since they are not throwing from the pocket much. He improved his mechanics and raised his release point by his soph year. He never did get the footwork in the pocket down, but he improved enough to a factor in our passing game. That injury last year weakened his grip and at times this season, he has reverted back to his old release point.

So....you ___gots critiquing his passing game should go outside with a football and try throwing it hard, with as high a release point as possible. Then you MIGHT understand.

Then he should be sitting. You can't be a QB that can't THROW the damn football. I understand that the guy is probably playing with a jacked up arm, but it cost us dearly this year. Had we played a real schedule we would not be bowl eligible. And all these jacklegs that keep bringing up bowling.. and Nelson Stokely didn't get to a bowl.. THERE ARE 76 FREAKING spots for teams in bowls in 2014! Thats more than half of the teams in D1.. We SHOULD be in a bowl. my goddddd

    Bottom line about option QB's.

If they don't or won't run the ball and they can't throw it effectively for whatever reason, then they shouldn't be in the game.

And before you go there, I said the same thing about Babb and Desmo.

Which begs the question, why is he continually run out there? Hudspeth's job is to win games. If he didn't think TB was our best option, why is he still putting him out there? Is Haack in the doghouse or is he not ready to play the college game? What is it?
