While it has been a while since I lived in mobile, my memory is that downtown is nice, the causeway has some cool places. Food is good and the arra around the stadium while not the best part of town it isnt a ghetto.

Mobile isn't that bad... At all, downtown very fun, clean and safe. We took a 15 passenger cab last year for $5 a person from downtown to ladd peebles and dropped us off at the gate...picked us up after. Honestly, cajun nation would take over downtown mobile and it would be very fun.

To think that Mobile is undesirable as a bowl game destination due to concerns for one's personal safety is ridiculous. The exact same argument could be used for bowls in Houston, Miami, El Paso, and for sure New Orleans and many others. Mobile just isn't a destination city like New Orleans is and its for that reason that I'd prefer to go bowling in New Orleans. Just gotta be safe.

Boys , boys, boys.....If we actually take a week and let things play out, you might be surprised where we may end up. We have made the NO Bowl a ton of money, surely they will give us a week? Sadly, the decision to wait wont be left up to the young men.

The invite cannot be made till 12/7 due to new rules put in place since the new playoff system. We will have time to gauge interest in our program by other bowls.

The announcement can't be made until 12/7... If be willing to be we get the invite before that, if we haven't already gotten it.

Do you think four corners or the worst project in Lafayette is a safe place to park your automobile & walk back & forth at midnight? Because that's when that bowl game ends. Not everyone is going to be in a position to take a cab, or limo to & from a hotel. And you would think the tee tot parking lot would be full hours before the game. So if you're a late arriver your gonna be parking along an unlit road in the middle of abandoned buildings & slums about twenty times worse than the worst slums in Lafayette. Anyone who denies that has never been there, or is lying. I tell you what. Don't believe me. Don't believe them. Do a google map search around that stadium & tell me where the hell the well lit parking & security is going to come from. They just as soon have put the stadium right behind old NP Moss.

Let me ask you a question Boomer. WTF would I lie about that ____ hole dump of a stadium in Mobile? Do you think the New Orleans tourism commission is paying me to lie? So unless there's been a multi billion dollar inner city investment made to the city of Mobile then my eyes are telling me that would be a great place to recruit. Not so much a place to play a college football game. And don't think it's on the border line of some college campus. Because it's not. There isn't a college campus within miles of that stadium.

Because you have saints falcons tickets so you are already going to Nola that weekend and you have to work for the godaddy. Those are 2 reasons you would already be whining about somewhere we probably aren't going.

This is from someone actually trying to make the stadium sound great. You tell me where I'm wrong.

It isn't great Kyle, but it's not f'n Baghdad man. There is a downtown area with several bars, many stay open as long as you keep partying. There are worse destinations. How many people have been shot in the quarter in the last 3 months? How many people have been shot in downtown mobile? Anywhere can be dangerous if you aren't aware of what's around you.
