Ok, we need to be fair. I misspoke somewhat when I mentioned Tim's name. Tim was not offering an opinion, he was merely reporting what Billy Ferrante was saying.
So,I'm disagreeing with Billy.
I'll give my opponent prognostication after I see the results of this weekend's games. We still don't know what league will not be able to fulfill its bowl slots and which leagues will have teams they need to place.
I wasn't talking about the bowl participants. A part of his article not in quotation marks was that the cajuns are 7-3, winners of five in a row. It is excusable if it was once in a blue moon. I have yet to read an article from buckley in the past 6 months where there was not at least one factual error in his writing. The guy has no pride in his work.
In 2011... Nov.21st, in 2012...Nov.24th, in 2013...Nov. 30th. History shows the NO Bowl will offer before that date and UL will accept. Now, if you are right I'm okay with that because it allows another possibility to play out. But I don't anticipate that will be the case.
Never mind, I forgot the rule has changed now with the playoff system in place this season.

Been seeing a lot of items saying that with the new playoff format they don't want to announce any bowl selections until at least December 7th. That might change the selection options.
From my side, with us trying to raise funds for athletic improvements or coaches, the only way I would choose any bowl over the NO Bowl is if it was a guarantee money game and not dependent on ticket sales. I don't want to see us lose a half-million to a million dollars at at bowl game at this time. JMO
I want Houston!!!!
It's not gonna happen, but we would rock that place too!
