I'm just asking, have you pointed it out to the administration personally? Have you asked to speak with tjoe and get an answer as to where he stands? If you can't understand how the subject could get old and tiresome for some you aren't being very objective. Those same people that visit here and don't post, call us ull, lala, ulaf, lalafayette out of spite, they do it because they know it's gets under people skin. You will not change their mind, even if they do agree they still do it out if spite. Ragin Cajuns is our moniker and will be on some uniforms, that doesn't mean everyone is abandoning the name just because we use our moniker on things, last I checked we are the Louisiana RAGIN CAJUNS. If you constantly complained every time I called you something you didn't like, you can bet your az I would make sure to call you that. As soon as you stop letting them get enjoyment, they grow tired of spiting you.

First, stop focusing on me, it's not what this is about. I didn't say one word about the name on the jersey. I am 100% behind anyone that has any kind of passion for the name of this University being UL Ragin Cajuns. I can understand how it might get old for some, but all I can say is, getting tired and pushing it aside because of that, will for sure 100% not get anything done except make you feel better. Is that what we are here to do? Make tired people feel better? I'm just stating facts. Again, in a different way, mentioning it on this forum will not get it done today or tomorrow but it brings attention to what is being done on a current basis. This forum is not the ONLY avenue to take, but it is one.

I didn't to say push it aside and forget about it, there is a search option...search name thread and add to it, it will come back to the top thread every time. Then people can go into the name thread and discuss it, derailing every topic into a name thread is what gets old. We probably can just agree to disagree on this and save a bunch of back and forth. Gonna keep using UL and Louisiana, I'm gonna keep buying only gear with that or ragin Cajuns on it but I will no longer crucify others for using different names if our administration won't come out and say where they stand.

I for one am NEVER tired about:
    -reading about the name issue
-talking to others about the name issue
    -writing about the name issue
-winning, and writing/talking about the name issue
-losing and writing/talking about the name issue.
-answering my neighbors when they ask why I hate LSU so much..."well, it is about then name issue...."

Name on the uniform would not have helped the players handle the ball better. Only way to advance the name cause is for the administration to be more aggressive in seizing it. They appear to have retreated on that front and if they have it is likely for political reasons.

Of course the discussions don't help our defensive secondary tackle better or our point guards to have less turnovers. I do think that it is better that we defeated ULM this Saturday as UL Lafayette than it would have been to lose to them as Louisiana. Folks who have the name as a focus may not agree with me. If you do not, it is understandable as everyone has different priorities. I would like you to answer the question as whether you prefer a win as UL Lafayette vs a loss as Louisiana. To me, winner is always the most important name you can achieve.
Winning is paramount. But the two are not mutually exclusive, Mike.
