However, I'm thinking that this time, Florida does their best to make a splash. And, that means hiring a name coach. Everything I've read says Florida goes after an offensive minded coach, which makes sense since schools have a tendency to move away from the philosophy of the previous coach.

I think Rich Rodriguez is at the top of their list.
Rich Rodriguez makes sense, but Art Briles makes more sense.

Nah. Briles has spent entire career in Texas. Rich Rod has more recruiting ties in Florida.just my opinion.

Many! Those that can't lay claim to 4 straight bowl games.

Dozens more that can't claim 3 straight bowl wins.

Its called beating a big time program at their own game.

What does that have to do with Hud getting a job at a major program? He took a traditionally lousy program and has 9-4 for three straight years 3 consecutive bowl wins and is in line to bring us to another bowl. Hud has single handedly revitalized the program, gotten numerous improvements, raised millions of dollars and we are now paying a football coach over a million dollars per year. I think that this shows that he is capable of running a successful program just about anywhere and for anybody. Thanks Coach Hudspeth for making the football program something we can be proud of.

If he does leave can he take Jay Johnson with him? Or he can stay and fire Jay. Just please God no more Jay! We need an OC with more than 5 plays in his playbook.

Jay Johnson is limited by personnel. With a QB that can throw the ball you would see a much more creative offense.

Time to start looking for 5th year transfers at QB.

Really? What from today changed anything? He's still a damn good coach and has forgotten more football than you've ever known. What's your career winning percentage in college football? I'll wait.

Regardless.he just got out coached by a country mile. And by a former 1-AA coach. He isn't earning his paycheck. Not with 2 down lineman.
