They won in convincing fashion in most cases. Who else among the P5 deserve it? If they go undefeated, they deserve it. Now, if someone was 11-1 with a loss to a good G5 program... or 11-1 with a win over a G5 (and an oops), they'd have an argument. But who has done that?
originally Marshall had Ohio St. & Louisville scheduled until they got dropped which is how they ended up with Rhode Island on the schedule
I'm talking attendance on our part. Not the viewership...you don't think everyone will be "bowled out" by the godaddy bowl and ready for the national championship? There are pros and cons to all of them, I personally will be wherever we go but we have people who don't go to home games because they "don't know where they will park". I don't trust people to drive to mobile for a Sunday night 8pm game against bowling green and sit in 30-40 degree weather, god forbid there be a chance of precipitation. College Gameday seems to do ok starting at 8am every Saturday.
Who would have thought that after 3 years of bowl games we would be bowl snobs? Guilty as charged. I'll go anywhere in an 8 hour driving range but much prefer the friendly confines of the superdome and New Orleans. I can go a lifetime without going to mobile on a Sunday night in January. Just my personal preference.
If you ask all of my west coast friends
The Indy Bowl is the MOST prestigious for which we are being considered
Doesn't it pay more than NOLA ( excluding the fans that we would bring)?
I thought the NOLA Bowl was $500k + % of ticket sales
And I think the Indy Bowl is $1m + % of tickets
IF THIS IS ACCURATE; does this make them close to equal (ESPECIALLY SINCE we will most certainly NOT have 40k fans at Nola based on it being a morning game and fan fatigue given our 4th appearance)?
