Doesn't it pay more than NOLA ( excluding the fans that we would bring)?
I thought the NOLA Bowl was $500k + % of ticket sales
And I think the Indy Bowl is $1m + % of tickets
IF THIS IS ACCURATE; does this make them close to equal (ESPECIALLY SINCE we will most certainly NOT have 40k fans at Nola based on it being a morning game and fan fatigue given our 4th appearance)?

Indy Bowl will not be open.

Indy Bowl payout is only good for ACC and SEC schools. A school from any other conference will see a significant decrease in their guarantee.

    Another "better bowl" discussion.

Some of you liked to be repeatedly kicked in the sack, huh?

I could be wrong on this, but isn't there a rule that no more than 2 teams from the same conference can be in a BCS bowl game? I think that they carried this rule over into the playoff system.

I was being facetious when I said that but I'm not sure if the rule carried over to the playoff.

edit: when does Georgia Southern become bowl eligible, just out of curiosity?

They predict Arkansas State & San Diego State in the New Orleans Bowl.........They can look for attendance to drop under 20,000 again.

----Not for sure if they know that we would bring a significant more number of fans and more ticket sales----But you are right and that was the deal last year as they were hoping for P-5s and we would have been foolish to wait and they understood!!!

I think they GIVE the first bulk package of tickets worth the advertised payout to the bowl participants.

It is then up to the respective athletic departments to turn this asset into cash.

    I think.

Geeze the discussion should about making sure you drag everyone possible to whatever bowl game we go to, instead of "I ain't going here" or "I ain't going there."

that's not how the big timers do it.
