It would never happen but hypothetically...you guarantee a sunbelt team will lose a bowl game, the bowl who would host gets to make all the money from a "conference championship" game (not the conference). Both teams would still be co-champs and have trophies and would make kissing your sister even worse.

Houston, dallas, memphis, shreveport, b ' ham are all in our wheelhouse.

If we somehow wind up in Houston, I've got some recently acquired Aggie friends who would likely come and cheer for us (granted, if A&M wasn't the opponent). They suddenly because secondary Cajun fans during our Super Regional.

I've seen several predictions of A&M and Texas in the Texas Bowl. Would be interesting to see who might get slotted should Longhorns go 0-fer the next two weeks.

I've read that the SEC would block a Texas A&M vs Texas bowl game. Said something to the effect that it would hurt the recruiting advantage that A&M has gained since becoming a SEC member. Seems petty, but it must be nice to have your conference support your interests.

Seems to me if A&M were to take care of business and curb-stomp Texas, then it should further help the recruiting advantage as they could then market themselves as the clear #1 program in Texas (though Baylor and TCU might have something to say about that).

It is not completely outside the realm of possibility. The MWC might like to swap it's NO bowl spot to CUSA for CUSA's spot in the New Mexico Bowl. A UL/LaTech rematch in the New Orleans Bowl would sell out the Dome and would be a great game.
