You can't fight for position anymore in basketball, especially if you have any kind if size advantage. You used to try to exploit mismatches, now you get penalized for them.

We were on something like a 10-0 run when the phantom triple technical occurred. Since then we have been called for breathing on them while moving picks are acceptable on the other side of the court. We've played like crap but so has tulsa. Officiating allowed tulsa to pull away.

It was a minor miracle we were even in that game with the mixture of awful first half play and awful officiating.

Problem is that in our league, by getting better as the season goes on, you basically only have 1 option to get in and that's the tournament. If you can win these early games on the road against other NCAA tournament teams, you give yourself an outside shot.

I agree. Just rely on D and hope O comes around. We played a lot of guys to.

We used a lot of energy on the 11-0 run to get back in it.. That wasn't a quick run...we earned every stop with tough defense, that's tiring.
