After two home exhibition games this past week, the UL Ragin’ Cajuns women’s basketball team is prepared to open the 2014-15 regular season Friday as the squad travels to Beaumont, Texas, to take on Lamar in a 7 p.m. game at the Montagne Center.

They have a good chance to win 7 of their 9 non-conference games, which would mean winning 13 of their 20+ conference games. Simone Fields will be a newcomer worth watching this season.
