Yahoo CEO Marissa Meyer today released a blog post_saying her company is in the process to acquire_ad platofrm BrightRoll. BrightRoll currently powers_video advertising for 87 of the Top 100 AdAge US advertisers, including the top 15 of these. The company_serves more video ads to consumers in the US than any other _platform. The deal will make Yahoo the biggest platform for video advertisements in the US, according to Meyeer. Meyer hopes that BrightRoll will help Yahoo reinvent its advertising platform away from traditional banner ads as it refocuses its strategy on mobile, social, native, and video content.
