I will tell you that I sit in the chairbacks on the lower deck and I never hear any of this. What many here are saying is that we don't hear the band during the game. What Clutch is saying is that we know you guys are precise and good at what you do but we do not get the energy from the band that helps to fire up the crowd. I do not know who to blame nor am I here to blame anybody but it is fact. I don't know if it is just a matter of having a small band and needing more members which I'm sure would help. I don't necessarily have the answers but I can only tell you what we here especially across the field and its pretty muted for the entire game. When Southern's band played during the game, they were much louder.
Once again, it doesnt matter. We, as in the people who pay and donate to the athletic department, can't hear you. Plus, if we could, it is still no where near funny. You talked about SU's band being classless, but spelling tand chanting those things are classless and juvenile.

I think everyone on here can agree with respect you for what ya'll do. We don't expect you to come out an do thriller next week but we want to hear it and be able to get into it.
Loud obnoxious sound is what I want to hear...I could care less if the marching is perfect but I want to hear it and be able to get into it. Right now it is not that way. I am not a music expert but I think you can agree that things could be a lot better for the band. I don't want to hear "we ready" blasted through speakers, I want to hear the band play something to get me pumped.
So what your saying is that the only fans that count are the ones who pay and donate to the athletic dept.?? So, because we're students and are inherently less mature than y'all, because we get in the game for free, and because we don't have the monetary funds to provide to the athletic dept., that we're some how less of a fan?
You couldn't pay me enough to sit in those nice little chair back seats, and to have a nice little parking spot right by the stadium. Even after I graduate, I'll be parking and walking, tailgaiting and sitting, no standing, in the Red Zone, yelling at the other team, yelling in general and causing a raucous!
Another thing, playing while another band is playing, having fans curse at you and having people assault members of our band is classless. Cheering on our team is not.
No moron, I am not saying that. I do not have a parking pass, but I do have those nice seats to sit in. However, when you grow up and realize that spelling out condom and exlax is inmature, then come talk to me. Until then, focus on the band.
And by the way, I could care less about SU's halftime show. I buy tickets to a football game, not a halftime show. The band is there to add to the atmosphere, nothing more. The band puts on concerts to play that spanish music crap. Focus on the stands stuff, because that's what the fans want.

Ohh, I'm so sorry that we do the same things every other band like ours does. If I recall, in a topic about our band on here a while back, somebody brought up that we should play latin/spanish music for our halftime show, that people like that, its more exciting.
I'm also sorry for acting like every other college student. I'm sorry that we find things like that funny, we have a sense of humor.
As the representative of the morons who will someday run the country, I'm sorry for being a typical college student.
Just so you know, I am not much older than you college students and it still isn't funny. Also, if you people who will be running this country in the future think it is funny, I will have job security until retirement. Nuff said. It's not funny unless you are in the 4th grade.
As far as SU playing while you guys played, it's called taking control of the situation. If you are that quiet when you try to run this country, then we are in trouble.

Is it possible that SU's band couldn't hear you playing during the game? I'm across from you on the other side of the 50 yard line and can't really hear you. SU was in the endzone. They were loud and i bet their music could be heard all throughout the stadium. They weren't just playing to the crowd directly across from them. They were angled to where their music traveled down the stadium.
I said in another thread that i feel like i've been watching the same ol' thing from the band every halftime since the 70's. It's not y'all...it's the director. If he would freshen up y'alls routine, make it fast! make it loud! make people want to stand up during your performance I'd bet my last dollar that more students would be interested in becoming a member of POA.
