Shut the complaining pie holes you bunch of sissies!... it was GREAT. Perfect... never. Perfectly good... you bet. It went off better than I would have ever expected. It was one of the smartest things our administration has ever done. Explanation in due time...
Even with the 41,000, there were many people who could not get in. If the flood gates were opened, we may have seen 45,000. The administration did shut off ticket sales several hours before the game.
I agree, however, I don't think that UL should bowl in the stadium. The hill is something that people enjoy and I think a horseshoe would be perfect. But I do agree with you. Farmer has a plan. It's only a matter of time until Walker steps down and Farmer is able to take the wheel and lead this program in the right direction.
Yesterday, the college game atmosphere was absolutely fantastic and electric. We no doubt will have issues when hosting an overflowing crowd, but it was GREAT to see. I didn't like the parking situation, but I did my griping out loud and moved on. It was a joy to see Cajun field once again filled to the gills, I was there for Ok State, Alabama and Tx A&M, but this was special. Why? Because we WON!
Hope we had some talented high school seniors for recruiting purposes, it doesn't get better than that.
i've been reading about how nobody went to the concession stands during their band's performance. i have to admit that i did, and so did a whole bunch of others. the lines were every bit as long during halftime as they were throughout the rest of the night. but i was expecting that going in and i braced for it. i came through none the worse for the wear. it was like the vehicle line i was in at 12:30 when i arrived at the stadium. what else were you gonna do, get mad and leave? it's a good problem to have to solve.
