I am with you on this. When you take out "indoors" and then take out "New Orleans", my group drops from 15 people to 2. That's because some are alumni from Houston and will not drive that far (Alabama) to be outside and take a chance on freezing their Azzes off, and some are wives and daughters who like what NOLA has to offer (plus game inside). That only leaves me and my brother in law willing to go to the "nasty" bowls. This applies for a lot of people across the board. Of course, many people on RP just cannot understand why our crowd will drop from 40K to 15K when we go to one of the "nasty" bowls.
I went ahead and booked mine: $120 per night, at the riverside Hilton. Good deal....figure I'll just cancel if we don't go. Waited too long last year, lol
I went down the page and clicked on all of the links that could be booked online. Some of them say to call only.
For each I selected 1 room, two people for Fri & Sat nights.
Marriott - $104 (SBC Team Hotel)
Sheraton - $149
Intercontinental - $189
Loews - $229
Royal Sonesta - $149
Astor Crowne Plaza - $140
DoubleTree by Hilton - $179
Hotel Modern - $125
Hyatt French Quarter - $139
Hyatt Place - $99
Wyndham New Orleans - $159
What about this Cal prediction ESPN is throwing out? I don't understand how that's possible...
