I gotta believe the CFP realizes that Colorado State needs to get that Access Bowl spot, not Marshall. If this happens, then all those who say they want to play "somebody" in a Nola Bowl will get their wish. Nola would essentially have their choice of what P5 team, that's eligible and not slotted for another bowl, they want.
It is possible that it could happen, but I don't think it's likely. Colorado State will not play in their conference championship game if Boise State wins out, which they have two home games left and the road game is against a team with a losing record. CSU is the only 1 loss G5 team, so Marshall has a leg up on the access bowl.
Holy hell what kind of schedule is that? The inept Cajuns of the first 4 weeks would have gone undefeated with that schedule (Marshall's) leaving the special teams on the bus… I'm surprised little sisters of the poor and School for the Blind weren't actually on their schedule (just the equivalents)… Personally I think Boise has a more impressive body of work and a head to head victory vs. Colorado State, but still would have to win vs. Utah State, San Diego State and Wyoming even with two losses.
Booked Astor Crowne Plaza for Thurs, Friday & Saturday nights. Rate is $140 a night.
Last two years it was $99 a night, so it has gone up, but still reasonable.
