Rickey Bustle considers UL's offense to be a work in progress going into Saturday's season opener against Southern University.

The eighth-year Ragin' Cajun head coach understands why that's the case with new starters at quarterback (sophomore Chris Masson) and running back (senior Undrea Sails) after the departure of Michael Desormeaux and Tyrell Fenroy.

"Obviously, when you've got a few new parts to something, you've got to kind of get them broken in," Bustle said Monday at his first weekly media luncheon. "That's the way I look at our offense right now."
