The Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team announced its 2009-10 schedule.

The Cajuns will face a stiff test to begin the season as they take on No. 7 Baylor and No. 50 Arkansas to kick off their spring portion of their schedule.

"I think the beginning of the season is going to show us where we are and what we need to work on," said head coach Mark Jeffery. "Then we will be able to correct whatever we need leading up to the conference tournament and the NCAA tournament."

The Cajuns will participate in four tournaments in the fall including the UL Invitational on Sept. 11-13 at Cajun Courts.

UL travels to Waco, Texas, for the Baylor Invitational on Sept. 25, followed by the All American Championships on Oct. 2-11. The final tournament of the fall season will be the Southern Regionals in New Orleans.

UL's first match of the spring season comes against No. 7 Baylor in Waco, Texas, on Jan. 22. After a two-day stint in Fayetteville, Ark., where the Cajuns will take on No. 50 Arkansas and Witchita State, UL will head back home for a four-game home stand.

The Cajuns will host eight home games in the spring, beginning with Grambling University on Feb. 11 at Cajun Courts.

On Feb. 18 No. 56 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi visits the Cajuns, followed by Alcorn State on Feb. 19.

The Cajuns face LSU on Feb. 25 in Baton Rouge.

The team will participate in the Sun Belt Shootout in Troy, Ala., April 2-4. The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be held in New Orleans April 23-25.
