  For the first time, the University of Louisiana Kinesiology student organization, KPA, in association with the Miles Perret Cancer Services is hosting a Football party with very a special guest.

NFL legend, cancer survivor and inspiration for the Disney Movie “Invincible,” Vince Papale will be in attendance to help celebrate.

The event will take place at the University of Louisiana Alumni Center on Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. and will include South Louisiana Cajun food along with live music and drinks. Live and silent auctions will feature autographed New Orleans Saints and Ragin’ Cajuns and NFL memorabilia. A portion of the proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Miles Perret Cancer Services.

Tickets for the event will be limited to 400 and VIP tickets will be limited to 50. VIP tickets allow you first access to meet and greet Vince Papale and your own bar with free beer and house wine all night.

Auction report

Vince Papale Loves High school football players and surprised Lafayette High school with a drop in visit Thursday afternoon. The kids really loved it!

The KPA students grossed over 5 thousand dollars with a portion going to Miles Perret Services.

There is much Cajun Pride in this area, and it showed Thursday night with the showing at the ULumni House. UL Ragin Cajun autographed items were the best performers on the night.

Over 200 participants including President Savoie and son, Dean Prat, and Dean Carlson were in attendance.
