I think the article sums it up best. They win titles with a team effort. They aren't flashy on offense as they run a variation of the veer and the pass rarely. They win with running the ball and defense. They are able to run even when their line is of moderate size. They are coached extremely well and utilize their technique when they don't have the strength advantage. They've done this for years and they will continue to do it. They don't have the D-1 prospects that you would normally think that a team of their caliber does. Ashburn is being recruited by the Cajuns but is not likely to come as he likes Nebraska a lot and since LSU is not going to offer him, it looks like NU has the inside track. I have no idea where McNight is going or who is recruiting him but he has a great pedigree and decent size.
