This article and the team's comments came after Saturday's scrimmage.

I'm confused. Which is it? Is this all stemming from on saturday morning scrimmage? I wasn't there last saturday but I was there 2 weeks ago and the Offense didn't look that bad. The Defense looks really good.

well i was at the scrimmage, and there is no way of knowing that b/c as soon as a hand hits the jersey the whistle is blown. Also, if a QB knows he cant be hit he will sit in the pocket a little longer when he normally would have taken off running. Last year during this time our defense appeared to somewhat contain desormeaux, which everyone knows would never happen in live action. the numbers are not very accurate, its alot different for both sides when they know the QB cannot be hit. When our Qb's did take off running as soona s anyone touched them they were down. its not a real situation. You know how many times a defender touches the sleeve of a Qb in the pocket but he still steps up and makes a throw or takes off? Huge differnece between touching the arm of a QB and recording a sack in a game situation.

Well, I was there also and everytime a sack was called, the defender was pretty much in position to lay out the QB if it would have been a real situation. I'm not saying there's some room for the QB to get out in a few of those situations but all in all, the DL got to the QB and would at the very least have disrupted throws, caused a T.O. etc....
