Just by looking at UL defensive end Hall Davis, it's hard to believe that he has ever struggled to put on weight.

But that was the reality for the senior, who has finally packed on the pounds over the past few years.

After playing wide receiver, defensive end and safety at University High in Baton Rouge, Davis arrived on campus at 214 pounds in 2005. He bulked up to 262 by the start of last season and kept on the weight thanks to the team's new supplement program.

Now the 6-foot-5 Port Allen native weighs in at 272 pounds going into his second season as a starter for the Ragin' Cajuns.
