Thread: 9.58

    Track & Field 9.58

    Just plain sick.

Usain Bolt just ran a 9.58 in Berlin at the World Championships.

Lost in all this is the fact the Tyson Gay broke the American record running second in 9.71, which is now the 3rd fastest time in history behind Bolt's Olympic time of 9.69 from last year and todays 9.58.

Wow. That is amazing. Those Jamaicans sure can run mahn. Gay struggled a bit in his semi heat. Glad to see him come back.

Do you think he will start a bob-sled team?

"Feel the rythm, feel the rhyme, c'mon team is bob-sled time!"

Usain is simply incredible. It really sucks for Gay because he also ran the race of his life.

From what I remember he's 6' 4", 190 pounds. Nice size and a bit of speed. He's making a good living on the international track circuit.

Very tall for a sprinter. Most sprinters are munchkin sized.

Yeah, interesting how it completely overshadows the fact that Gay ran an American record 9.71! Bolt is simply blazing.

Actually, Bolt is 6'5" tall, not sure of the weight. He's an athlete unlike anything I have ever seen in my time of coaching track and field. Gay ran a great race, 3rd fastest time ever is not too bad. I like his comment after the race. He said it took a world record to beat him.

What do you consider "munchkin sized". There have been quite a few great sprinters over 6'0 as of late.

Yeah, but can he catch a football is my question? LOL.
