Raymond Lation wore # 20 from 1973 to 1976. He was a tailback from St. Aug in New Orleans. Leading rusher on the team for several years. Never will foreget the look in his eyes at the 1974 Tulane game in New Olreans when the Cajun fans formed a tunnel at halftime. Must have been something for a black kid from New Orleans to return to Tulane Stadium. Not very big but a slashing runner with good speed. Keep his starting job even after some stud JC running backs were brought in. I think he still lives in the area. Ray needs to come to the tent for a home game.

I was in NO and I drove him to the tailor for his prom formal suit---All Yellow with vest and matching hat--the guy looked like Big Bird---What a great guy--I think that he is thinking retirement soon --lives in Grand Marie and has been in the oil field forever -----yes he needs to make the tent party!!!!
