Thread: Could he be the second coming of Alonzo Harris?

Ragin' Cajuns Could he be the second coming of Alonzo Harris?

Introducing....(drum roll) Mr. Thunder number 2 - Walt Williams

"That running back they have is one of the best ones I have seen in a long, long time," Brown said, referring to Bulldog tailback Walter Williams, who has committed to Louisiana-Lafayette. "You can't afford as a defense to relax at any time when he is on the field. He is big and fast and strong and he can take over a game at any time. He makes plays that changes games."

"Williams, who was selected to play for the South squad in the annual Bernard Blackwell All-Star Classic on Wednesday, ran for 342 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Williams scored on runs of 86, 73, and 90 yards..."

"Through the first seven minutes of the game, Williams had 204 rushing yards on three carries."

---MAN I HATE EVALUATING FROM JUST FILM---DOES HAVE THE ZO LOOK AS HE WEAVES AND DOESN'T HAVE THE QUICK SHIFT CUTTING ---think he has damn good hands---Wonder who he was playing against in the video but look at what he did in an all-star game-----Seems very tough and I really liked him on the defensive side----Doesn't look to have the "take it to the house speed"----Any 40 speed and size?? We haven't missed much on physicality of players by this staff!!!

Pretty sure we only have 1 RB committed at this time. The kid from Florida flipped to Ga Tech.

I agree that he runs with the same style as Zo, and that he looks like the only thing lacking is break away speed. Be a good guy to pound it between the tackles though. One concern, he looks enormous on the video, but his profile says he's 6'1 and 211 lbs. He looks way bigger than that, unless everyone else on the field is really small.

Zo was 6'1 205 as a freshman here

Yeah, I was just stating that if he is only 6'1 and 211 then the kids he's playing against must be really small due to how big he looks on the video.

What I'm stating is he is really big, how big do you want him to be?

Well if he's 6'1 and 211 lbs, he's not that big. He's a good sized HS RB, but very average as far as college backs go. And my point is, if that's his true size, then the guys he's playing with and against are pretty small
