Steve Mocek was either 28 or 20 from the picture I found, but it's from 1993 with the Big West patch on the left arm so I'm guessing he was 20.

Guess I will get my name on the back then... if you find out who wore 28 let me know though!

anhil8tor, since coach Stokley died, the person to ask would be Pirogue ( Paul Angelle ) he was the premier photographer for UL during those years.

Problem is he is in the heart of launching his new Acadiana version of Quick Slants Magazine on the 25th of this month.

IF there is a picture of #28 during those years, Pirogue has it.

Darren Brister wore 28, but I don't think we were still in the Big West when he played.

None of the players mentioned above has worn #28. The #28 was worn by Glenn Lafleur and was the first jersey to be retired. The jersey you have, may have been a jersey that was ordered because when uniforms are ordered all numbers from 1 - 99 are ordered weather they are retired or not. No one has worn that jersey number since at least 1980 as I may recall. Hope that answers your questions.

    Of course!

My apologies Big Lynn, if you don't know no one does.
