UL — Clerical matters, team meetings and physical examinations made Wednesday’s reporting day a matter of monotony and routine, said University of Louisiana at Lafayette football coach Rickey Bustle.
Bustle said there were no surprises other than 6-foot-8 freshman redshirt offensive lineman Jaron Odom, who arrived sporting a shorter haircut.
“There were no surprises other than (Odom), and that was a good surprise,” Bustle said. “Everyone, all 105 of (the players) showed up. The players got here at 2 p.m., we put them on buses and rode them over to campus, where they got on computers and started filling out (NCAA) compliance questionnaires.”
Beginning at 3:30 p.m. today, the Cajuns start practice for this season. ULL doesn’t put on full pads until Aug. 11. The first scrimmage is scheduled for at 9 a.m. Aug. 15 .
