As a player and assistant coach at the University of Miami, Mario Cristobal learned what it took to build a successful college football program.

Cristobal has used those same qualities to build the football program at Florida International. Last year, his second at the school, the Golden Panthers produced one of the nation's biggest turnarounds with a 5-7 mark - a four-game improvement in the win column from the previous season.
