Thread: Washington's wacky career path returns him to Cajuns

  1. Default Washington's wacky career path returns him to Cajuns

It was shortly after learning he was not yet academically eligible – a frustratingly familiar refrain – that Darzil Washington approached UL head coach Mark Hudspeth.

It's amazing how many kids get lured out of state to a bigger school with little chance of playing time. So many could have stayed close to home, close to family and friends, and balled out in their backyard. The league is littered with players not from P5 schools. I understand the lure but you can almost never make the league with no game film.
