PROS: He has the size and a nice arm.
CONS: lacking the intangibles. Negative attitude. Cant read progressions, he stares down his receivers, and only throws to two WR. Does not read a defense to find an open WR.
He looks good in high school because TCHS molded a watered down Run and Gun offense around him. D1 colleges are moving towards pro style/spread systems. If you cannot read defenses and progressions then you will not have success.
He will end up at an SEC school if he keeps good grades. He is more like a Zack Mettenburger instead of John Elway.
Most kids in high school are not very good at reading defenses and going through progressions. That is why so many red shirt. If he has the physical tools a school is looking for they can teach the rest. I too have heard he has some what of a hot head and bad attitude.

I listened to some of the broadcast. It was bad. It's one thing to quesion the officials' calls but these guys were saying things like, these refs are not qualified to ref pee wee games, and even worse things. I don't mind some bias and letting the listeners know if you thought it was a bad call. Don't attack these refs personally, there is already a shortage of HS refs.

He is only a junior and I don't think he started last year. I think he's getting better every game. He will be bigger and stronger next year, and have more experience. Also, he grew so fast that his coordination probably needs to catch up with his growth.

Same as Mr. Bitter and Acadiana. Passionate and yet painful.

These two opinions are confusing to me. Why would end up in the SEC if he is not a good D1 prospect?

I was asking myself the same question.

The kid will go to JC or a non D1 school if he wants to play football. I heard He does not have the grades. I could be wrong though.

You have heard wrong. His grades are in order.

    Thank you!!
Cole will have lots of offers and I want him at UL. I don't care what our "scheme" is, when you have a chance at a young man who can pass like Peyton Manning (and just a junior in high school) you change your "scheme". He passed for over 400 yards against STM Friday night.

Cole, I know you are probably reading some of this stuff. Keep in mind that most of us are just "old, fat, guys who don't know what they are talking about". Please don't take any of this seriously.
