I am not a huge TC supporter but I have been to one game this year because my young daughters were dancing at half time. My one game assesment of Kelly is he has a very strong arm and throws a very live ball. I don't think he would be a good fit for the Cajuns unless they are willing to change the style of offense they run. He is very slow and the QB run on the zone read would be out of the question. We have all seen over the last few years the Cajuns are better when the QB is a threat to run.

To say that TC fans cheered when an STM player got hurt is laughable. The one game I went to when a player got hurt the entire student section would get silent and reach out their arms toward the player as if to be laying hands on him for healing.

I wasn't there but a friend of mine was at the game and said that they cheered. It sounds like you weren't there either. I don't know what happened but to dismiss it as laughable without first hand knowledge is inappropriate. Every game is a new day and the rivalry between the two schools has grown tremendously in the last couple of years. Thigs may have changed since the game you attended.

Check out the video on this kid. Doesn't fit the dual threat mold that HUD has brought in, but definitely looks like a legit d1 qb prospect

I was not there either but just dropped my son off at middle school football practiced and was in a conversation with 4 dads who were there and they all said it was typical applause when a player is down and then gets up off the ground. Knowing the school and the families who attend I have to believe this story. The first time I heard it was from the homer radio guys and in no way shape or form would I ever take their word for it.

    I'm good with that.

I was there sitting next to the student section. The accusation is laughable. I've had 4 kids finish at STM and my last one is at Teurlings. Both schools are very respectful and concerned when any of the kids are hurt. To say anything else is just not accurate.

Then I agree that it was laughable. I wasn't saying it happened one way or the other. I just was looking for actual evidence before accusing the announcers of lying.

I was there in the STM section. The stands were relatively quiet when he was down. When he was helped up there was your typical clapping from both sides. Then as he neared the sideline, the TCH students erupted to make noise for a 3rd down. The STM fans were still showing concern and several took offense as if they were cheering for the injury.

I didn't take offense - their students were involved in the game.

Fair enough. Now, what I did see was when STM's #7 (Tiger) got hurt on a reception, he stayed down a long time before they could get him off. They were still slowly moving him to the sideline when the refs signaled to start play. A couple of Teurlings players came over to the stands, throwing their hands up for people to cheer for a 3rd down stop. If I was sitting on the other side and I had a mic in front of me and I wanted to devious, I could say that "the bad people over there are cheering because a player is hurt". But I would have to go to confession after the game.

Because you were watching the game while others were concerned about the young man. There was no intent to cheer for an injury.

No he will not be a good D1 prospect. JMO. I have seen him in many games this season.
PROS: He has the size and a nice arm.
CONS: lacking the intangibles. Negative attitude. Cant read progressions, he stares down his receivers, and only throws to two WR. Does not read a defense to find an open WR.
He looks good in high school because TCHS molded a watered down Run and Gun offense around him. D1 colleges are moving towards pro style/spread systems. If you cannot read defenses and progressions then you will not have success.
He will end up at an SEC school if he keeps good grades. He is more like a Zack Mettenburger instead of John Elway.

He would fit in here perfectly!
