Bryant Lee's offensive numbers from last season impressed his Southern University football coaches, wowed the fans and frustrated opposing defenses.
The fifth-year senior from Boutte fought off various injuries to make things happen with his arm, leading the SWAC in every major passing category. He completed nearly 62 percent of his passes for 2,682 yards, 20 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. In four games he passed for at least 300 yards.
His legs did plenty of damage, too. He led the team in rushing with 543 yards and six touchdowns on the ground and was the league's second-leading rusher among quarterbacks.
