Oh well, we got to play with the hand we drew I guess. Good luck to y'all this year! _
How would being in the WAC give us any political leverage in Louisiana?

RCajun90 can probably explain that one. He and his LaTex pals on the Textsers forum have it all figured out.

Yeah, it's not like the WAC hasn't had 2 teams break into the BCS. Look for it to happen again this year. If y'all are happy in the Sun Belt, that's cool.

The WAC having two schools in BCS bowls is great (I was pulling for both of them against their opponents) but it has nothing to do with nothing.

Seriously, how would WAC membership give us political leverage in LA? Not trying for a ____ing contest and not trying to dredge up the WAC vs Sunbelt arguments. I'm just trying to understand your logic because I don't see the conference membership having any influence on LA politics.

I don't think the WAC would give us political leverage unless we were extremely successful in it. Perhaps that is where he was coming from.

No he is one of the ignorant people in this state that believe that everything is about football.

How is this even debatable? The WAC is the better conference. More national exposure, more BCS bowls, more bowls overall...

Maybe because we are not talking about football...it is a political discussion about this state.
