I'll say the odds are greater that someone will ask this same question before football season starts than all 3 being fired this year.

Bustle has done things with the football team we havent seen since Stokley. If he can pull a 6-6 season out of his hind end this year, I say give the man an extension. Losing the offensive firepower we had last year, this year will be rough on us. I thought Bustle's contract expired in 2010?

I think that Bustle will be around until his contract expires if he has a losing season. I think they will extend it, if he goes 6-6. Only way I can agree to extend it if he takes us to a bowl. As we all know 6-6 doesn't cut it. Hopefully we can get to 7 this year and all will be happy.

As for the other two, I think they should be gone no matter what.

It boggles my mind that going into last year (coming off a 3 win season - which itself was was on the heels of a season where he fired 4 coaches) he had what equals a 4 year contract in hand.

NO WAY!!! 6 - 6 is not acceptable. If Bustle does not take us to a bowl game by the end of his contract he must go. If Parrott says it doesn't end until 2011 then in my mind he has 2 years to take us to a bowl.

Agreed. You have to consider the circumstances when it comes to a coach's accountability for the team's record.

At the beginning of last season I thought that if the team didn't have a winning season and a bowl game, Bustle should be fired. Given the fact that the team was decimated by injuries, 6-6 was a pretty good achievement.

As much as I hate to say it, there could be another disclaimer this year given the uncertainty at key positions... Nah, screw it. 7-5 New Orleans Bowl!!!!

Having guys right behind last years starters to step up and carry the torch is a major part of being a college coach. There should be no excuses but some of you guys are already making excuses! If we keep Bustle after a losing season then I know we are not very serious about football.
