Illinois was the only game last year were the D was good. The rest of the year they were horrible. Yes, injuries played a big part but we have not put 3 or 4 good defensive games together since the Stokley era. Other than Zanders none of these guys have been consistent producers at the D1A level. Like you I am hopefull for continued player development and less injuries, but I have a hard time getting excited about a unit that has been roadkill for the last 15 years.
For us to be succesfull this year we will have to win some high scoring games.
