Thanks P, you always have the inside scoop.
I tried to search for his profile on rivals and scout but was unsuccessful. Do you know his measurables? What about any other offers? I read an article that did mention he was an all-district honoree as a junior at BBHS.
Patt Has Early Offer

Treverance Patt is been part of a very good defense at Breaux Bridge High over the past few seasons. The Cajun football staff has had an eye on Patt since his junior year and has offered him at the cornerback position.
The name Treverance Patt isn’t well known outside of the Lafayette area, but the 5-11, 165-pound defensive back is known by coaches throughout district 5-4A. Patt began his climb to college football prospect during his sophomore year when he was inserted into the struggling secondary as a starter and made an immediate impact. Treverance has since earned the reputation as a hard hitter and fierce competitor. During Breaux Bridges recent spring scrimmage against Lafayette High; Treverance came up with a tremendous hit on a wide receiver, knocking him completely unconscious.
“I enjoy coming out and playing physical,” Patt stated. “I want my opponent to know if he catches the ball, he had better have his head on the swivel because I’m going to put a lick on him.”
Treverance recently received his first scholarship offer from the Ragin’Cajuns.
“Coach Brown told me he really wanted me to be part of the program,” said Treverance.” “They offered me and feel I can come in and compete right away; it’s great to have that first offer in hand.”
Does it matter make a difference to Treverance Patt that his possible future position coach played in the NFL?
“Anytime a guy that has played in the NFL like Coach Brown talks, you are going to listen,” sated Patt. “It’s obvious that playing under a coach with his knowledge will help you develop the skills to play college football”
Patt attended the Cajun prospect camp on June 7th and ran 4.53 in forty.
“It wasn’t the fastest time I’ve ran this year,” he said. “I ran a 4.45 during the spring, so I know my forty times are better then what I showed. But I think overall I did well at the camp, showing them my coverage skills in the one-on-one and seven-on-seven drills.”
Treverance has several other camps planned this summer; when does he want to make a decision on his college destination?
“I’m headed to Louisiana Tech’s camp in Ruston next,” said Pratt. “UL would like me to commit right now, but I’m not ready yet to make a decision. It may be August before I can really think about committing.
Thanks for the info. Maybe I mispelled his name during my search on Scout. Sounds like a good prospect and I'm glad they offered before Tech did. Good height, good speed, and will put on a few more pounds. 5'11 cornerbacks with 4.4/4.5 speed is a great combo.
this guy looks like the real deal. key part of a very, very swift breaux bridge defense. this is one player whose 40-yard dash times are not exagerrated. geaux cajuns.
I'm extremely happy to see that it appears we're going to get him. He was one of those guys I truly didn't know if we had a chance at. He could provide some solid depth to go with Bentley, Aurienne, Gillis and Jackson
I'll say like I said on CRZ.com, I've seen every game that this kid has played. He is a great athlete that rarely gets beat (like all of the BB defense). He has great recovery speed and is a playmaker at the corner. I'll be more keyed on him this season now that I know he's more than likely going to be a Cajun.
Also, its great to finally have a BB player in the Vermilion and White. I cant remember the last one and with the amount of talent we put out, I'm glad the Cajun coaches are getting closer to the BB program. This will likely be Mowad's last year, so no more Tech bias excuses.
Agreed, but I would like to point out that sometimes stats can be publicized that are misleading in the other direction as well. As an example, combine stats can be extremely misleading IMO. A guy that runs first as opposed to doing bench press, vertical, shuttle, broad jump and whatever else they have scheduled, has a huge advantage from a fatigue perspective. Combine events are not always run in the same order across the country, nor do they have the same temperature, same humidity, etc...
I saw one Nike Combine where the fastest player ran a 4.68 40, of course there was a wind chill factor of 38 degrees when it started, some of the participants legs were visibly blue! The top recruit in the state that year, who signed with LSU, ran a 5.1.
The problem is that for many of those players, their stats were publicized by people in the media, without mentioning the minor detail that the Nike guys had as footnote concerning how the 40 times should be adjusted downward due to extreme weather conditions, seems like 8% was the concensus. If they never had another chance to run an official recorded 40, they had to live with the erroneous time posted all over the internet.
40 times, height, and weight, often change quite a bit as a kid's body matures...and the old stats often linger on the internet. Look at Ladarius Green, his nickname was Pee Wee in HS, and then he grew 5" in 2 years I think :-)
