If Cayla Chatman's first game at UL's soccer complex is any indication of how her career as a Ragin' Cajun will go, they'll have to put up new nets by her junior season.
A prized signee in UL's Class of 2009, Chatman scored two goals - including the first ever at the Louisiana High School Soccer Coaches Association All-Star game - earning MVP honors of the inaugural event as the West defeated the East, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon.
"It was a great honor to score the first ever goal and it feels great to have that MVP honor," Chatman said. "Knowing I'll be playing here for the next four years of my career makes me feel great, too."
