The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns return to Sun Belt Conference action on Tuesday, Oct. 14, when it travels to San Marcos, Texas to face Texas State in a nationally-televised contest at Jim Wacker Field at Bobcat Stadium.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:04 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN2. Kevin Dunn (pxp), Ahmad Brooks (color) and Sean Adams (sideline) will provide the commentary. The game will also be aired on the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Radio Network with Jay Walker (pxp), Gerald Broussard (color) and Steve Peloquin (sideline) calling the action.
Louisiana (2-3, 1-0 SBC) snapped a three-game losing streak last week as it rallied to defeat Georgia State, 34-31, at Cajun Field. Terrance Broadway completed 20 of 26 passes for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including a 21-yard scoring pass to Jamal Robinson for the go-ahead score with 3:34 remaining.
Elijah McGuire led the Cajuns ground game with 90 yards, as the sophomore opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 54-yard touchdown. Alonzo Harris added a pair of 1-yard scoring runs for Louisiana while Robinson caught eight passes for 119 yards and two TDs in his first action since missing the past two games with an injury.
Texas State (3-2, 1-0 SBC) won its second straight game after holding off Idaho, 35-30, in the Sun Belt Conference opener in San Marcos. Terrance Franks set a school-record with 295 yards rushing for the Bobcats, scoring on runs of 95, 70 and 70 yards. Craig Mager recorded 12 tackles and a pair of sacks for Texas State, which improved to 2-1 at home.
Louisiana claimed a 48-24 victory last season at Cajun Field in the first meeting between the schools.
