60 days until the first football game this year. Can anyone think of a former Ragin Cajun football player who wore number 60?

Rip Eveland from Memphis, TN wore #60 from 1973 to 1977. He was an offensive tackle, a good guy and great friend. Married a local Abbeville girl and never went home. He has been the offensive coordinator at Carencro High for over 20 years. He was at Carencro when Pat Key was the head coach and long before Mac Barousse. His son Rob played on the recent Vermilion Catholic state championship football team.

It is hard to believe that Tater was a young coach, right out of college then. He was a defensive assistant. Now a long time offensive coach in the NFL. He is obviously an outstanding coach and an example of the caliber of coaches Augie brought in (and retained). Tell him I said hello and wish him the best.
