Here is the ESPN evaluation of him:
Williams is a thickly built, but undersized tight end as he lacks ideal height. He has experience as an in-line player and is used as a blocker. He will show flashes of being able to create some push off the ball in the run game. He works to get hand placement and does a solid job of getting hands on, but needs to be more consistent in getting his hands inside and getting position. He will flash the ability to step and generate some power from the hips, but needs to watch and not bend at the waist and get overextended. He does an adequate job of working up to the second level and getting a piece of moving targets as he can tend to bend at the waist before contact. He is used as a pass blocker and works to keep a good base and mirror. He will use his hands, but needs to be sure to bend at the knees and not the waist and not to open up too quickly. As a receiver he has solid hands, but can come across as a bit of a boby catcher. Displays solid straight-line speed. Does an adequate job of being able to get into his route. Williams is a solid tight end prospect who needs to keep developing his game. He may fit better in more of an H-Back role.
