You can't mention # 62 without including G.A. Rodrigue. He wore #62 from 1971 to 1975. He was a linebacker from Thibodeaux with a heavy cajun accent. He was our team leader and captain in 1975. One of the most genuine down to earth guys you would ever want to meet. We had so many young guys and JC transfers in 1975 but G.A. was the glue that held us together and was a link to the Cajun past. I admired and respected G.A. immensely as a player and a person.

Boomer, I am honored to be included with those guys. We did not have the great results on the field (except for 1970 and 1976) but we had a collection of exceptional human beings who worked extremely hard with what God had given them. For the most part, they have all become quality adults and still love and support the Cajuns.
