Jay needs to earn that $190,000
So? Everyone of us that goes to work everyday has to earn their job everyday, just because one was good last year doesn't mean they're good this year. The same HUD fired Stewart, Johnson's job is always on the line! If they don't like it, find a new profession, no one is making him coach! That line of thinking is why we struggle to build this program, just like the Fossil saying we beat aTm with nothing, why give more next year? I love that parts of our fan base has these expectations, it's these others that are all rainbows and unicorns that sound like chicken_____s afraid to upset HUD - effem - we pay these guys good money to WIN, not be also-rans.
I put "LOL" at the end of my comment for a reason. I've not been unhappy with our offensive coaching. I attribute our early offensive woes to the competition, losing Huval (a bigger QB of the OL than we probably realized), Terrance getting used to his arm, Terrance requiring Jamal, our offense playing our crappy defensive scheme in practice, and our whole program believing it was as good as we all thought it was... to think we can play good teams with unimaginative play-calling. Jay and Hud split responsibility for that last one... but it's just a hard lesson learned... not an indictment of Jay's OC capabilities. Yes, our offense has been good the past three years. I think it will get even better when it has to face a better defense in practice.
You seem to remember incorrectly. "Everyone" wasn't down on Tony. I've read threads on here where a total of 3 people go overboard on a topic... and someone attributes their sentiment to this entire forum. When I read posts, I rarely see a "forum thought". I see individuals sharing a diverse tapestry of thought. Normally, when you think you're not in concert with your peer group... you need to be the one to reconsider your position. Not always... but normally.
