65 days until the first football game this year. Can anyone think of a former Ragin Cajun football player who wore number 65?

It would be cool if someday we could catalog every player that wore each particular number.

Billy Gresham wore #65 from 1973 to 1976. From Memphis TN, Billy played guard until his senior year when he moved to center and anchored the offensive line on the great 1976 team. Voted 2nd team All-Louisiana center and was a graduate assistant for USL for a year after graduation. Now lives in the Tampa Bay area. I have not seen Billy in many years and would love to have him back for a game. One of my great Billy Gresham stories was when we were driving from Lafayette to Memphis on I-55. When you crossed the Louisiana border into Mississippi there was still a sign that read "Entering Mississippi please set your clocks forward 4 seconds" in reference to LSU running 3 plays on the goaline in 7 seconds against Ole Miss culminating in the famous Bert Jones to Brad Davis touchdown as time expired. We were on I-55 when we were stopped for speeding by a Mississippi State policeman who saw our Louisiana license tags and said in his best Southern drawl "Ya'll boys wouldn't be from L-S-U would ya?" Billy quickly said "No sir. We play football at USL. We Hate LSU." He said, "Ya'll boys slow down now" and let us go on our way. To this day I am convinced that had we said we were from LSU that we would still be in prison somewhere in Mississippi.
what a guy---Let's get in touch and have all come to HC this year---do you ever speak with him???
