Pizer transfers

Had been hearing for a couple of weeks that she was looking to leave. I guess now we know where she's headed.

I do find it interesting that Yvette says Pizer will "fill a need" in the middle infield. LSU started a freshman at shortstop and a freshman/sophomore at second base.

Martin led St. Thomas More to the 5A state championship, en route to All-Acadiana and All State honors. The shortstop batted .317 with eight doubles, two triples, a home run and 28 RBI. Martin also competed in the Louisiana High School All-Star games.

She's one of the candidates, Z. As you'll see in my story tomorrow on Pizer, there's four middle infielders coming in next year. Any one of those four could be starting, IMHO. Nerissa Myers, Britni Soria, Megan Waterman and Martin are all pretty good players.

And, what about Megan Granger who transfered from Tech last year? She had to sit out a year. She has a good bat and can play short stop. What's going to happen to her?

LSU will be so loaded next year. They've got an unreal pitcher coming in. She is a girl from Connecticut whose name is Fico.

Megan didn't play short stop at Teurlings High. She doesn't have the quickness of the feet for that position long term.

What position did Megan play at Teurlings? I watched a practice this year where she was at short, she looked really good.
