I am pleased to announce that I was WAY off! It was good to see that type of performance. Its hard to tell if we just match up really well with TSU or whether we are turning the corner as a team but it has to make fans feel much better now after seeing that game last night.
I'm glad to see the Prophet's bum toe isn't gonna hold him back. Broadway's mechanic still look dreadful...but he has never done a better job this season pulling it down and running with it. Defense gets the gold star but I hope it isn't fool's gold. We are better suited to beat the triple option than a spread option passing attack. Texas State was as good at passing the ball as we have been on defense this year. I fear we are not going to be able to stop Arkansas State. But hey...I could be wrong...and I hope I am wrong.
This performance on both sides of the ball gives me hope although ASU will be a tall order for sure. TSU is a better passing team than they showed last night, or more appropriately, we allowed them to show last night. We got pressure on the QB all night which we haven't done all year and coming into last night, they were statistically a better passing team than we had been all year. What scared me about them was their ability to be balanced and we really never gave them much room.
Well my prediction was way off. Thankfully!!
