67 days until the first football game this year. Can anyone think of a former Ragin Cajun football player whose number was 67?

Lee Tatford wore #67 from 1973-1976. 4 year starter at tackle from Catholic High-New Iberia. Graduated in 4 years. When put out to stud sired an offensive lineman for the US Military Academy, a very good current basketball player at STM and former UL first baseman Jefferies Tatford.

there was a kid out of catholic of new iberia about 10 years back. i believe it was class of 99'. i cant remeber his name but he blew out his knee and never played. he could have been one of the best linemen we ever had but he never got to play. he wore 67. i think his name was leblanc but im not sure.

Funny you should mention that CrazyCajun. I was thinking the same thing. I can't remember his first name but his last name was definitely LeBlanc. This kid was a BEAST at 6'3 295lb and was rated one of the top 5 Offensive Lineman in the nation. He signed with then USL in 99' and everyone had VERY HIGH expectations for him. But his career came to a halt during Catholic's last game of the season when he was undercut by Julius McDowell (Linebacker from Abbeville High) tearing his ACL and MCL. It kills me to think about all of the "WHAT IFS" but you just never know how they would have turned out. But I can promise you one thing, had this kid been able to dress out and play for the Cajuns, there is NO DOUBT in my mind that he would be up there on that little Black Wall with his picture on it. And I GUARANTEE his #67 would be retired!!!!
