    Default Number 68

68 days until the first football game. Can anyone think of a former Ragin Cajun football player whose number was 68?

Steve Hardin from Albany, Georgia played linebacker from 1973 to 1976. We did not have anyone else on the team from Georgia so his nickname was obviously "Peach". The thing I admired most about Steve was that he came to USL for an education and had a girl-friend back home. He was incredibly dedicated and disciplined. He never went out with us much and never dated anyone here as far as I know. After graduation, he moved back to Georgia and married his high school sweetheart. Someone told me he was a CPA back in Georgia. He was a steady, smart linebacker on the real good 1976 team. I have not seen him since 1977. He is the kind of guy we need to get back in touch with.

Actually #12 that year was Randy Fontenot (remember the 98 yard TD to Harold Porter?). I think Barry Pollard was always #10.
